Bio

Tim Reinboth is a freelance science journalist and editor. He writes about topics AI, the brain, geoengineering, psychedelics, robots, and routine screenings during pregnancy. And he is fascinated by strange things that happen at the intersection of technology and society.

His background is first in psychology, then cognitive science and Science and Technology Studies (STS). He left academia for science journalism to write freely about the issues and ideas that he cares about most.

Tim is inspired by speculative fiction, the outdoors and simple ideas that offer new ways to look at the world. He keeps up with speculative fiction and anyone who still works on imagining a better future.

Since 2025, Tim is a member of the Wissenschaftspressekonferenz (WPK).
