Bio

Tim Reinboth is a freelance science journalist and editor. His interests are broad and he keeps adding more. So far, Tim has written about topics from AI, the brain, and carbon capture, to psychedelics, robots, and routine screenings during pregnancy. For the last years, he’s been fascinated by strange things that happen at the intersection of technology and society.

Tim’s background is as a researcher in psychology, cognitive science and Science and Technology Studies (STS). After building that foundation, he left academia for the freedoms of popular writing. Since then, he can write freely about the issues and ideas that he cares about most.

Tim loves science fiction, the outdoors and simple ideas that offer new ways to look at the world. He keeps up with speculative fiction and anyone who still works on imagining a better future. Tim’s always keen to talk to people about unusual details of what they do, as he searches for the surprising delights hidden in our day to day lives.

Please feel free to contact Tim if you have any ideas for stories in science and technology. And not just if you are a scientist!

  • Are you working on a fascinating problem?

  • Is there an issue or open question in your field that nobody is talking about?

  • Do you have a manuscript that requires professional attention?
